Shaping the Personality

 

DGS gives special emphasis on imparting purposeful orientation to its students so that they can make substantive contribution in their future endeavours. Personality development program targets to iron out the weakness/fears and strengthen the traits and hidden talents in a child.

Several dimensions of personality- intellectual, physical, emotional, ethical, aesthetic etc should be taken care of for an all round growth of personality of a child. In D.G.S. not only these attributes are taught and enriched, efforts are made to strike a proper balance in their implementation in day to day life. Multifarious activities play an important role in multidimensional personality development. Activities like quizzes, debates, simulation games, various “art and craft” making exercises are conducted regularly to inculcate and develop the creative skills in the students. Various cultural programmes and sporting events are organized to rejuvenate them.
 

All students are encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities so that they gain confidence and get some exposure of public speaking, feeling of participation in activities etc.

DGS aims to break new ground in transferring young and flexible brain into creative and analytical ones. Integrated curriculum is calibrated to maximize learning and esnsures all round personality development. Learning in DGS doesn’t end in classroom, walk down the school corridors and you will find many inspiring thoughts, captions, photographs are on display of past achievers. They are the means of informal discussions, exchange of ideas, general knowledge/awareness amongst the students and staff alike.
